Job Description:

Vanderlande Logistics is searching for a Senior Project Manager for the Airport Logistics Operation to support upcoming Airport Projects in Palma de Mallorca. You will guide project management activities (defining scheduling, budget, risk, change, opportunity and resource management activities) for  a very complex project surrounding the installation of airport baggage handling systems. In addition, you will guide the technical review of system design and documentation and develops continuous improvement plan. May develop client relationship and sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

-Overall management of the installation of baggage handling systems over STD3 regulation
-Preempts potential problems and provides effective solutions in reaction to application of concepts, techniques, knowledge, or processes.
-Deals with change management throughout the course of the project and reassesses the resource requirements
-Demonstrates extensive knowledge in field of specialization or multiple disciplines to the successful completion of complex assignments.
-Understands airport operations and can speak to how baggage systems operate to any and all stakeholders - internal corporate management, airlines, general contractors, local government, etc.
-Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of organization's business practices and issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of those issues.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Education:

Master´s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering /B.S. Degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Also valuable Master´s Degree in Telecommunications or Industrial Engineering/B.S. Degree in Telecommunications or Industrial Engineering.

Spanish and English languages both of them are mandatory.
Airport environment Industry or Baggage Handling Systems experience is a must.
PM Certification Desired.
Needed 8+ years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above including 5+ years of experience leading Airport Logistics and Baggage Handling System Integration Projects and/or large industrial/construction projects with BHS content.
