What are my responsibilities?

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, including WBS, milestones, baseline schedules, and critical path analysis.
  • Coordinate schedules with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, and Commissioning teams.
  • Monitor project progress and update schedules on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Prepare progress reports, dashboards, S-curves, histograms, earned value analysis, and look-ahead schedules.
  • Identify schedule risks, delays, and slippages, and recommend mitigation, recovery, and acceleration plans.
  • Review subcontractor schedules and monitor performance against approved programmes.
  • Analyze delays and disruptions and support Extension of Time (EOT) and delay analysis requirements.
  • Support tender planning by preparing bid schedules and resource-loaded programmes.
  • Present schedule performance, risks, and corrective actions during project review meetings.
  • Mentor Planning Engineers and Coordinators and review their planning deliverables for accuracy and quality.
  • Promote consistent planning standards, reporting methods, and continuous improvement across projects.

What do I need to qualify for the role?

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 10 + years of experience in planning and project controls, preferably in large-scale infrastructure, EPC, airport, BHS, or MHS projects.
  • Advanced expertise in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Microsoft Project and Power BI is preferred.
  • Strong experience in baseline scheduling, resource planning, critical path analysis, delay analysis, EOT preparation, and schedule optimization.
  • Experience preparing management reports, dashboards, S-curves, histograms, and project presentations.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to mentor junior planning team members and work effectively in multicultural, multidisciplinary environments.
