Be part of our Project Execution team as a Site Engineer – Mechanical, with opportunities available in Jeddah and Riyadh, KSA.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Lead and coordinate mechanical installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities across various projects in the region and report to the Site Manager for all mechanical scope-related activities.
  • Provide technical guidance to subcontractors and internal teams on installation best practices and support the preparation and implementation of method statements, risk assessments, and work permits.
  • Liaise with the construction and Procurement departments to identify the tools and consumables required for the site execution.
  • Coordinate with other contractors and stakeholders to facilitate site access and meet the requirements for the installation and commissioning of automation systems.
  • Review mechanical drawings and technical documentation and provide site inputs to support project execution.
  • Prepare work packages for the site teams.
  • Support the proposals department with input for upcoming projects and share previously learned lessons.
  • Monitor installation progress and provide regular and accurate progress reports to the Site Manager and Planning teams.
  • Support the Quality team in inspections, closure of snag items, and final handover to the client.
  • Identify potential technical risks and coordinate with the Engineering teams to implement preventive actions.
  • Collaborate closely with Site Management, Engineering, Logistics, and Procurement teams to ensure efficient site execution and material flow.
  • Ensure all mechanical works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, methods, and project requirements.
  • Accountable to follow occupational health, safety, security, environment and quality practices.

What do I need to qualify for the role?

  • Bachelor’s degree/ master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design and installation practices in the Industrial automation domain, specifically in Baggage Handling or Material Handling Systems.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders and experience working in multicultural environments.
  • Hands-on experience in AutoCAD & REVIT.
  • Good understanding of engineering analysis tools (ANSYS, ProMechanica, or similar) and mechanical design and installation practices.
  • Willingness to work on projects outside of KSA.
  • Fluent in English, Arabic or other languages would be an advantage.
