Role Overview
The Business Controller / Commercial Project Manager – Airport APAC leads project controlling for execution and sales projects across the APAC region, alongside related service activities. Acting as a financial business partner to Project Management, Sales, Service, and Regional Finance, the role drives commercial governance, transparent financial reporting, risk management, and profitability protection throughout the project lifecycle—from tender support to close-out.
This early-career role offers a unique opportunity for a junior finance professional to grow into a key financial business partner in a dynamic, multinational environment, building expertise in project controlling while contributing to high-impact APAC projects. Ideally for candidates with some relevant experience in project-based business (e.g., BHS or similar industries).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive project controlling from sales/bid phase through execution and close-out, including financial reporting, performance tracking, budget management, cost control, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
- Act as a proactive financial business partner to Project Managers, Sales, and Service teams, delivering insights, challenging assumptions, and enabling data-driven decisions to protect margins and mitigate risks.
- Manage commercial aspects such as contractual compliance, variations, change orders, claims, negotiations, pricing models, payment terms, and risk/opportunity assessments across projects and bids.
- Ensure adherence to internal governance, controls, and approval processes; support audits, reporting, stakeholder alignment, and continuous improvement of financial processes and tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
Requirements
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2–4 years in project controlling, business control, FP&A, or commercial finance (project-based experience preferred).
- Experience working across APAC or multiple countries within a relevant job scope is preferred
- Strong Excel skills; exposure to Power BI/dashboards; solid accounting principles knowledge.
- Analytical mindset, proactive attitude, and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced setting.
- Fluent in Thai with excellent business-level English (both written and spoken), and a proven ability to influence stakeholders through clear and persuasive communication.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience in multinational/project-driven firms or BHS/logistics.
- APAC language skills or international team exposure.
