We are looking for a Team Leader High-Level Controls (all genders) - Korea.
As a Team Leader High-Level Controls, you will be leading and guiding a team of HLC Software and HLC Hardware engineers to successfully execute Digital projects for Airports in Korea and in the Asia/Pacific region.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Digital Project Execution: Oversee the execution of Digital High-Level Control system projects (incl. Project Management, Design & Specification, SW and HW Engineering, Testing, Commissioning, Integration and Acceptance), ensuring delivery in time, quality and within budget.
• Team Leadership: Management and mentoring of the HLC Team of Vanderlande in Korea, fostering team motivation, enabling collaboration as well as guiding and coaching of the team. Coordinate closely with customers, airport authorties and internal stakeholders to align technical solutions.
• Sales & Bidding: Actively maintain a good customer relationship, drive Digital sales activities and promote products of the Digital portfolio of Vanderlande. Coordinate and support the bidding phase (requirements analysis, cost estimates and proposal preparation) for upcoming Digital opportunities and BHS projects.
• Resource Planning & Management: Coordinate resource allocation to ongoing projects, ensure productivity and quality, report project progress and team utilization.
• Management of Digital Service & Support: Ensure stable, reliable and secure operations of Digital products deployed at the customers sites. Coordinate support, update and troubleshooting activities together with the team.
You will be based full time in Incheon, Korea and will be working together with the global Digital team as well as with the local Korean BHS Team of Vanderlande and of the customer.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer or Software Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience delivering industrial automation or digital control system projects, preferably in airport, logistics, or large-scale infrastructure environments.
• Proven experience leading project execution teams for High-Level Control Systems (e.g., BHS IT, SCADA, DCS, IT/OT integration).
• Strong understanding of system architecture, interfaces, and integration between control systems, mechanical equipment, and IT networks.
• Leadership skills with experience managing, mentoring, and developing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Solid project execution background, including planning, risk management, commissioning, and stakeholder coordination.
• Experience working with customers, contractors, and authorities, ideally within regulated or safety-critical environments such as airports.
• Knowledge of international and local standards related to automation, cybersecurity, safety, and quality.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills; ability to operate confidently in both technical and customer-facing roles.
• Fluency in English is required; working proficiency in Korean is a plus.
